Well folks this weekend we did it.
Here at the BigIron we are at awe that the site passed 100,000 hits today. I am so proud because who would have ever thought the site would have generated this much interest from a regular guy with a Char-Griller.
In celebration and in honor of Labor day I decided to buy a big ol’ honking piece of meat….A whole Arm Roast.
This was about 26-28 pounds…..to be honest I was in shock from the price and I tore the label off before I could check it. The butcher told me but I forgot the exact weight……but hey, this was a special occasion so price be damned.
Lil’ Iron told me once, she never saw a Brink’s truck following a hearse to the cemetery…..so with that in mind, I bought it.
I thought it would be fun to give everyone a way to see this marvelous feast. Click on the pictures below to see the full size….then prepare to be hungry!
Here is a shot of one slice of this Arm Roast. It is served on the largest restaurant platters we own.

That is one big hunk of meat! I was so suprised when you did the first live cut, that has to be the most juicy piece of beef I ever saw done on a grill. If it tasted half as good as it looked its a knockout. I was afraid my beef roast would be tough and dry so I ended up putting a couple pork shoulders on the grill. It’s 4:00 am here and I still got quite a way to go on my shoulders so I have to be scootin back outside.
The next party I do I am going to do one of those sides of beef, and I will do it the same way you did.
Did I tell you how juicy that looked??

I enjoyed your video! No stupid good ol’ boy distractions, not that I don’t enjoy some of that. It is nice to see how genuine you are, humble and excited and refreshing. I’ve just put a small brisket and a small arm roast on the weber. I wanted to see what others had to say about an arm roast on the grill and there you were. We just got some beef for the freezer and I pulled out the arm roast by chance just to see how it would go. I’ve been smoking for a year and really like the weber but you have much more grill space than me! I almost got a grill like yours but worried about it getting all rusty. There are a lot of them looking like relics in back yards around town but like anything you treat it with love and it will last. I look forward to seeing more of your video and I enjoyed your it a bunch and I’ve watched quite a few. Your video wasn’t scripted , you just hung it out there being who you are and left us with God Bless. Thanks from Peoria il.
