frank the armadillo eggs where great big hit at work to
Hey Tim? Good to hear that. I really apreciate all the feedback on the recipes. You know, sometimes what someone thinks is great, turns out to be not-so-great to the other person.
I’m proud they liked ’em at work too. There is nothing like the respect you get from folks that enjoyed what you cooked, without the added thrill ride to the hospitol for food poisoning.
Have a great weekend…………
I really dig your site and vids, came across them from the BBQ bible site. One small comment – the plastic gloves you use are obnoxiously loud on the vids and can even drown out your voice at times.
Andy, about the gloves……yeah I have noticed that too. I found out by wetting them a little, it takes the edge off of the crinkle. I do appreciate you catching this technical glitch. I noticed it when editing but it was already too late.
Have a great rest of the weekend.
Just wanted to say I tryed your Whiskey Apple Pork Loin last weekend at the laske and it was amazing, probably one of the best pork loins I ahve ever smoked.
Hey Tracey,
Thanks for the kind words. It sure was good over here at “the iron”. We ate it for 3 days and the last day was just as good as the first.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Just wanteds to say that I like the website and I tried your Armadillo Eggs this last Labor Day weekend they were fabulous, a big hit. They cooked perfect and tasted even better. Just wanted to say thanks for a good snacking recipe and another success Labor Day bbq from north central kansas.

Say really enjoyed you videos and helping me learn more about smoking meats and the y come out great. I still have one question and could not find any answer on you web. How do you set up your smoker and you mentioned useing sand. Do you put it under your coals or under the meat being cooked.
Did your pork loins x2. You would not believe the comments that were recieved when everyone started to eat. It was fabulous! Did not change anything about it the sweet and yet the balanced smoke flavor was wonderful. You could make a video of everything you smoke and I would try them all. Important note is take your time and as you say enjoy yourself.Have fun with it
