Have you ever in your life, seen a roast like this?
We got this little bargain at Sams club. We priced it at around $18 for this Sirloin Roast beef. Now Mrs. Bigiron is the expert when it comes to Big Midwest Beef and she said “it was a good-un”, so we bought it.
Well as you can see, after she sealed it in the pan, it was roasted to 148-155 and then rested for 30 minutes. At first we thought it was a tad overcooked but once we got to the inside third of the roast, it was perfect. The outer 2/3 were just as tasty and not overcooked at all, it just lacked that pretty red color we all want with a roast beef.
Add in some yorkshire puddings, Au jus and some scalloped cabbage and….well, you got a mouthful !
