Hello barbecue guys and gals. Here at the BigIron we have a new addition to the household. We went down to the animal shelter and got Riley a pal to play with.
Ruby, is a 1 1/2 year old weiner dog. She is getting used to the household and has already learned to walk under Riley and steal his ball out of his mouth. He seems to really get along with this little girl and believe me, there is no boredom here.
She will be a great company during the long smokes at the rig and something for Riley to play with that isn’t a cat.
There is no sign of jealousy between the dogs and they are getting along really good considering the size difference. Riley thinks she is a cat that plays like a dog, and Ruby thinks she is a Golden Retreiver.
T.V has met it’s match. This is REAL entertainment.

Lola and I have also been looking for a playmate for her dog but we havent had much success. We are limited on what kind we can get, has to be small with low activity level. Lola’s Bischon Freise is very timid around dogs that show any type of aggression. We look on Craigslist everyday but for some reason somebody keeps flagging all the small dogs. I guess some people have nothing better to do, all you see there are upset people because of it. It has turn into more of a forum than pet ads. Its a real shame. We also have been checking the local animal shelter but all their small non agressive dogs have been adopted or adoption pending.
Sooner or later we will find one that fits our needs I guess its just like smoking meats……..patience required.

That’s a fine looking “maneater” you’ve got there.
You’d better be careful, those wiener dogs have a habit of eventually ruling the roost. Must be the German in them.
