Happy 4th of July

Well the best laid plans……………

I had planned on doing a beef clod for the fourth but the weather did not cooperate. We had storms early in the evening and I was not prepared. Imagine that?

Lil’Iron and me decided to spend our time together and just do some burgers on the grill this evening. Our neighbors will come over and have a burger, play some cards and watch the firworks show from the porch.

I hope everyone of you have a happy and safe 4th of July. Please keep the spirit of this county’s birth in your hearts today and remember what we as a nation, have gone through.

Hey BigIron
The weather is the same here too, its rained here all day and most likely will rain tonight also. I wanted to do something good on the smoker but I guess mother nature wants us to do something else. Have a good holiday my friend!!

Hey BigIron
Are you going to do your beef clod this weekend? I am just curious. I was on YouTube a little bit ago and watched a couple videos on beef clods and I have to tell you what poor quality of videos, fake accents, comedians, poor explanations of what they were doing. They all need to watch one of your videos and see how its done. One good video was done by a man in Vermont, the rest was just plain awful. It makes me appreciate how much time and effort you do put into yours.

I am not much on beef on the grill, it seems to always dry out no matter what I try. I have never done one in a smoker before, and I watched the man cut his and it did not look that tender and it looked dry. If I spend all that time doing one I want fall apart tender meat.

This weekend I am going to a fish fry at a friends house so I will not be smoking anything this weekend but next weekend I am loading up the Chargriller and going to my friends house and we are going to smoke a couple pork shoulders for his wife’s 50th birthday party. They were at my daughters graduation party and had some of it and they asked me to come over and do a couple for them. That is the least I can do for them, they are such good friends. I would ask you for some good luck but after all the help I got the last time from you I think I will do just fine.
